We'll I think I got to the bottom of my rattle. I moved around the speedometer housing a little. I think the problem was the left side frame cover that says "Savage" right next to the ingnition key hole. Mine was loose, so I moved it around a bit and it stopped making that noise! It must have been vibrating against the battery case or something inside was rattling.
Now I know where to look if I hear it again. I just drove 25 miles on it and it didn't "chirp" once.
